    Homemade Chili Sauce

    blog

"A healthy Nonanic-style sauce, made from tomatoes and fresh chili peppers, without preservatives, without coloring, and made with love :)"

    Hello, Bestnic!

Let's guess in the late afternoon while waiting for iftar, shall we! What kind of tomatoes can truly torture the soul and body? Yes, it's AIMISSYU TOMATO! Ahaha #jokesonme

Hey, do you guys know, until now people still often wonder whether tomatoes are fruits or vegetables, because they have seeds like fruits but why are they called vegetables, huh? Oh dear. Isn't that thought-provoking? Hmmm, it's really a mystery, isn't it! Hihihi

Actually, it's not really a mystery, come here, I will tell you the fact.

The answer is, it's really both, #BestNic. If we liken it, tomatoes are like those sociable, good-looking, smart kids who can fit into any group, you know. Like me back in high school #okayreally

So, from a botanical classification and scientific standpoint, tomatoes fall into the category of fruits because they have seeds inside and grow from the flowers of the plant. Like other fruits in general, tomatoes also form from small yellow flowers and contain many seeds.

But in the culinary world, most people consider tomatoes to be categorized as vegetables, #BestNic. As a cooking ingredient, this fruit is often used either on its own or as a component in other vegetable dishes.

Regardless, tomatoes are a delicious and nutritious addition to various dishes, of course. Especially if we pair these sweet and tangy tomatoes with spicy chili peppers, oh Gosh… amazing!!

Like this recipe I made here, for example.

A healthy Nonanic-style sauce, made from tomatoes and fresh chili peppers, without preservatives, without coloring, and made with love :)

This chili sauce can be used for various purposes, you know. I use it for dipping snacks like spring rolls, french fries, nuggets, or sometimes I mix it with noodles like in my previous recipe (click here to see the recipe for Special Fried Lethekku with Homemade Sauce)

This is how it is when you get to know Nonanic. Healthy even down to the chili sauce! Let's stock up to accompany your iftar dishes, #BestNic!
